A long, vaulted corridor within the historic Benedictine Monastery (Monastero dei Benedettini di San Nicolò l’Arena), which is now part of the University of Catania, Italy. The symmetrical architecture, characterized by a continuous series of white arches and a red-tiled floor, creates a strong sense of depth and perspective. Natural light streams in from the side, highlighting the curve of the ceilings and casting dramatic shadows, with one distinct archway on the right showing an external view through a window with a faint green frame. A single figure is visible near the center, adding a sense of scale and human interest to the expansive hall. The image has a softened, almost painterly quality, captured in November 2023.
