About Australiana I – Line Dot Painting Colourful Abstract Fish

I just love my homeland Australia! Its flora and fauna, diverse landscape and unique animals all warm my heart with pride. As a result I’ve created a new collectors series, the Australiana series. Here I honour everything Australian.

To kick off the series, I introduce you to Australiana I. A strikingly energetic modern abstract painting using rich earthy tones together with sparkling cool aqua colours. This represents the variance from our tropical oceanic waters to the fiery red centre of the outback.

The focus is Australians lively aquatic life. In particular a colourful abstract fish. The format uses lines, dots and block shapes to make this wonderful Australiana painting. These shapes create a deliberate link to all Australians both past and present. The block shapes represent todays multicultural society. The lines represent the harsh penal times of the early settlers and the dots represent the traditional land owners of the Aboriginals. May the styles all come together to progress reconciliation of all our people.
