Autumn Colours by John Salm fine art photographer – Limited edition (26) print fine art photographic print.

My best artwork is produced when I connect with an area. In this artwork’s case, the area around Echo Point in the Blue Mountains, NSW. I was there with a group of photographers during Autumn. Early one morning, before tourists, I wondered down to the lookout and just stood there with my eyes closed and just listened. Eventually, I heard the sounds of running water from the stream at the bottom of canyon and then I heard a bird. It was a cockatoo, and I opened my eyes to see it gliding low over the trees into the canyon. When I felt, I was ready I started exploring looking for opportunities where I saw the beautiful fallen red leaves on the ground. This became the basis for Autumn Colours. As I wanted to focus on the colours, I used Intentional Camera Movement to blur out the individual shapes of the leaves.
Autumn Colours is part of the Abstract Trees series.

The artwork is printed on Chromaluxe premium metal for a contemporary look and feel. John feels that the medium best suits his artworks. The artwork is backed by a floating hanger system. This allows the artwork appears to float off the wall.
