Backyard by the Light of the Moon by Helen Stephens

My original, non traditional, modern painting was inspired by a moonlight night in my Brisbane Backyard. The potted trees, pine tree, backyard fence, retaining wall and waterfall to the pond, were all painted from my studio window, upstairs at home.

Memories of the light from the full moon glowing in the cloudy sky and bouncing off the pond water was so magical that night!
