Backyard Sunset by Sam Askin

I am an absolute sucker for sunset as my collectors know… and how beautiful is this. The iconic and unassuming Colorbond shed as a view from a back patio on an acreage block in Townsville, with rising Eucalypt siolhouettes and noisy lorikeets standing out in front of a pastel explosion of colour reflecting the setting sun in the clouds. I get a huge kick out of making these fleeting a moments a permanent and expressive work of art, and this is no exception. Right down to the way the shed colours warms with the tones of the setting sun, this scene shouts Summer from the Australain (shed) rooftop!
