Beach Sunset 4 by Sam Askin

Not every sunset is a “golden hour”, bleeding yellow, red and pink across the sky. I am in love with the divserity of sunsets, especially at my backyard beach. This sunset caught my eye as it showcased an interesting mix of afternoon bright blue sky, fading to the palest of yellows at the horizon and the most amazing purple/grey clouds, catching light from the setting sun in a range of peach and oranges. The clouds onscured the sun across the shallows of low tide on the beach. This created the most beautiful pattern of deep greens and orange reflections in the rippling water, like two totally different worlds intersecting at the horizon line. I get that feeling of being pulled in towards the treeline, dark sand and setting sun… this is when I know that the world in a painting is ready to share with everyone!
