Beautiful by Rosemary Legat – Acrylic paint, acrylic ink, spray paint and stencils on 300gsm watercolour paper.

In our art community there are times we create ‘wildlings’ which are bases (on canvas or paper) which are built up over many intuitive layers and are intended to be used, at some point, as bases for future art works.  At the time of creation there is no plan on what may be painted or drawn over each one in the future.  During creation there is no thought other than being wild and free with the intuitive layers, colours and designs.

Beautiful was one of my willings.  Many intuitive layers of painting, markings, stencilling (artist made stencils) in a soft and unusual colour palette. I really liked the different colour combination I had chosen, along with the understated feel of this wildling, therefore I deemed that she was a completed artwork as is.

Beautiful would bring a touch of tranquility and lightness to any room or space.

Signed on the front.

My work is organic therefore I have not trimmed back any of the edges of the watercolour pages which could be done, or covered, during your chosen framing method or be embraced and remain on show.

This artwork requires framing to hang.
