Additional Information

Beilstein : The Sleeping Beauty of the Mosel River by Jos Coufreur is an Original Acrylic on heavy duty canvas. I use Professional quality paints by Atelier Interactive, made in Australia.

I spent a few days in Cochem along the Mosel River in Germany last month. We took a cruise down the river to the small village of Beilstein, also called “the Sleeping Beauty of the Mosel River”
There are plenty of half-timbered houses from the 17th through 19th centuries, all decorated with colourful geraniums in hanging pots. And of course lots of shops, restaurants and cafes to have some typical German foods. The painting is done with acrylic paints on canvas and the fast drying time suits me, it pushes me to work at capturing the general sense and feeling of the landscape and leave out unnecessary detail

I paint with large brushes and bold, loose brush strokes in vibrant colours.

*I will roll the canvas and send in a heavy duty tube.
