Part of Alicia’s popular ‘Evening Light’ series. This series is inspired by the evening light. Late afternoon is Alicia’s favourite time of day to paint while living in Brisbane as the bright, indirect light makes the painting come alive.

This style of painting has been creating by adding and removing layers of paint with a palette knife. The painting changes depending on where the light is coming from and how much light is picking up the pale gold. The surface of the painting is heavily textured using different methods from scratching the paint to adding thick layers of paint.
