Bizarre Equality Experiment – Ltd Edition Print (25) prints by Yianni Johns – This work is from a global project dropping 1500 fine art NFTs on the market back in 2022. I was one of 150 artists chosen globally to embark on this project. The theory behind the project was to use Van Gogh in the digital image because in his life he sold very few paintings and was emerging now into the very surreal world of the NFT. I sold all 20 of my NFTs in less than half an hour from the drop on Australia Day 2022. Great success. In the first week I had secondary and tertiary sales, each time the NFT raising in value. Today releasing a limited edition a print of one of my NFTs which was on the market in crypto currency for the equivalent value of AUD 1 million dollars. Alas it didn’t sell for that but because of the nature of the blockchain and the NFT sales ongoing I earn from every sale for as long as they sell, pretty cool. I still own the images so I can sell them as prints in this platform. We were the talk of the NFT world where personally I had Channel 7 news interview me in my studio along with Local ABC, Los Angeles NFT radio and various print media of the day. All wanting to know about this strange and successful phenomena. These prints on archival paper will be signed by me and sent to you in a tube.

In this digital print made as an NFT I am working with Vincent and one of my fine art paintings, “The Bizarre Equality Experiment and The Day God Turned Into A Woman” It was a confronting painting one my mum confessed to not liking. The only one in my vast production she didn’t like. There were some confronting parts which I covered with Van Gogh’s flowers. The most exciting thing about this work as an NFT was, when it was on the tertiary market for the equivalent of $1 million on ‘Open Sea’. It was up for 2weeks at that price a very exciting period for me as a new NFT artist.
