I started to work simultaneously on a few small pieces on paper.

Other than starting them all on black painted bases I worked intuitively with no thoughts or preconceived ideas on what each piece would develop into, other than the idea of being open and let the layers develop slowly.

Each layer adding detail, interest and richness. Eventually developing each piece separately to create a highly textured unique artwork.

Blooms in Blue Vase makes me smile inside each time I look at her. Not sure why, but I hope she has a positive impact on you too.
