Blue Glass and Blossom Branch by Wendy Peters

This second painting in my series ‘Shadow Play and Reflections” and it truly captures a moment I find so captivating. The way the light spills through that blue glass vase is mesmerising. It wasn’t just the way the light bent and created those gorgeous cerulean hues within the water and on the surface, but also the shadows it cast. They danced with such a warm contrast against the cooler blues of the glass.
For me It’s all about how the light transforms these simple objects, creating something almost ethereal. I wanted to capture that quiet beauty, that serene moment where light and shadow play together so harmoniously.
Would look fabulous in an oak float frame, and would suit a classic or contemporary setting.   The sides are painted brown so can be hung unframed.  Pair with Blue Glass and Olive Branch for a diptych.
Supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity.
