Blue Satin by Katherine Jennings –  As a child I remember doing a school project on the Australian Bowerbird. I was fascinated with how they collect blue things to decorate their bower and my grandmother told me stories about one that used to build a bower at her back fence. I was amazed because she lived in suburban Sydney. I was so pleased when I painted this little bowerbird with his collection of blue in the background. This piece was finalist in the Colorado Pastel Society 2025 exhibition.
