This artwork features an Australian blue wren, or splendid fairy wren. The male birds change colour every year, from a dull brown to a bright blue. These birds are a favourite for many as they are just so darn sweet! Hopping rapidly from place to place and fluttering about, they are particularly difficult to photograph well.
