Boats Disappearing by Sam Askin

I have been searching for a pastel artwork to complete thatg allows me to take full advantage of their ability to blend colour and lines into one another in layer upon layer. A friend of mine took this reference photo and I knew it was the one. The way the horizon, islands and boats disappear into this foggy day is picture perfect. I love the subtle changes in colour on the water with the reflections, ripples and light bouncing off its surface.
