About Bodyline XIII – Modern Figurative Painting Woman jumping into mans arms

Light the candles and put the music on as I am bringing back romance with the endearing Bodyline XIII. A modern figurative painting with a loose charcoal outline of figures with beautiful internal colours in a textured design.

Painted on New Years Eve this is the last of my works for 2021 and the 13th of this series. A beautiful collectors piece celebrating the reconnection of lovers.

A natural transition for new Years Eve as many couples together let their new hopes and dreams for the coming year be known.

This next story in the series is all about reconnection. Many times throughout history lovers have been torn apart only to reconnect in time. For me I think of movies where the man returns from war and his partner waits in anticipation and grace at the train station. As the man steps off the train, the woman runs into his arms. Of course these days we are a little more liberal so the anticipation tends to be a woman jumping into the arms of her lover.

With 2021 still providing challenges, this scene seems to be playing out more often as lovers unite.

There is nothing more heart felt than seeing two people unable to contain their love as they cant wait to be in one anothers arms again.

So to all of you hopeless romantics out there, soak up the love and bring some of that excitable energy into your life.
