Brolga Moon – by Kerry-Anne Knibbs – Hello, and thank you for taking a closer look!

In Feng Shui symbols are found in the paintings we hang, they are our intentions, and also symbols of our appreciation… Because as we appreciate we draw to us good energy.

The Brolga, Australia’s native crane, has many symbolic meanings, including creativity, renewal and connection to the spiritual realm. As a creative and spiritual person I am drawn to painting these beautiful birds.

In Feng Shui the moon represents yin energy as well as the cycle of time and manifestation. Yin energy is said to be feminine, gentle, restful, peaceful, nurturing and intuitive. Yang energy is the opposite as it is said to be masculine, sunshine, outdoors, adventure and liveliness, all the things we love about activity and light. But we need yin energy to balance yang energy particularly in this busy world where stress and burn-out is common. So, moon energy is great for the bedroom as the bedroom should be restful. These days the trend is for our living spaces to be a restful haven too. This Jade green painting called ‘Brolga Moon’ aims to bring a gentle dance and restful feel to your homely haven, and is a great visual tool for meditation and manifestation.

Trending in contemporary art is: environmentally conscious materials and sustainable practice, not to forget vibrancy and colour pallets that evoke emotions and spark joy. You will love the colour combinations that I create as a qualified designer and artist, all created with Matisse Flow uniquely Australian colours! Did you know Matisse paints are made from the finest quality pigments and ingredients and have the highest lightfastness rating of ASTM I or II and are archival quality – so your investment will stand the test of time. Matisse Australian-made premium paint committed to be environmentally and socially responsible

~ Original art signed on the front with an artist stamp
~ This Canvas is not framed
~ Framing suggestion is a modern Tasmanian oak floating frame
~ Premium cotton, double thick canvas, with a frame that offers a contemporary clean edge

What is contemporary art: contemporary art represents the latest movement! For me it is art that’s inspired by the impressionists, where you can see the hand made brush stokes, where dynamic range is important as well as a modern cosmopolitan feel. Contemporary artists today are globally aware, culturally diverse and using latest techniques and technologies for hand crafted artworks (such as sustainable materials).
