After a wonderful visit to our Australian Kimberley region in the north of the country I was overwhelmed by the density of the colour in nature,the ancient rock formations which lit up with brilliant unbelievable jewel colours when bathed in sunshine inspired this work and many others that kept me in my studio for months on my return home.
I have included the tiny figures to give scale to the viewer. These beehive shapes are enormous and almost impossible to capture on canvas. I trust I have given the viewer some idea of the beauty of the region and a desire to see it for themselves.
