Burn More Coal, Roll the Dice was named a finalist in the 2024 Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale Art Award

Lyn says, ‘The time for denying climate change is long gone yet still we burn fossil fuels. Now we roll the dice, dreading which climate catastrophe will come next – extinctions, floods, fire, sea-level rise, drought, heatwaves, cyclones or coral bleaching. It is not a two-dimensional problem.

‘Wherever I go to paint, I am struck by the devastating impact we have had on the country and the plants and animals who share our planet. My work is permeated by the sadness I feel about what has been lost and what is yet to come.’
