Additional Information

Original painting by Maureen Finck. Painting – No time to finish my apple.

I spent many years living in Sydney, and return there regularly.

A favourite pastime is to walk around the streets of the inner city. There is always something interesting to see.

Like many old cities, the main type of housing in the inner city are the old terraces or modern flats.

In the 60’s the terraces of Paddington and Surry Hills were inhabited by the less well off, students and migrants.

Many of these have been renovated, but most retain their beautiful iron balconies and fencing.

Sydney is also a big, hectic city. I was waiting for a bus and noticed this half eaten apple.

Probably the person did not get time to finish their apple before the bus arrived.
