Additional Information

‘Catching the Wind With Fire No. 3’ by Joanna Greenwood is an original artwork from a series that draws inspiration from the 2019 NSW bushfires. Trying to draw the wind running through the regrowth in the Blue Mountains meant using energetic textural mark-making and exploring vibrant colours that contrast against the blackened bark. These pieces have been drawn in pastel onto drafting film to create the sense of being able to see through the foliage. They have been professionally mounted with ivory matt board to suit standard frames for convenience and can be trimmed to suit an even spacing around the edge if preferred.
