Celeste by Ellen McKenna – Celeste is a multicoloured painting with bold, strong lines and shapes. Celeste shows off my playful, instinctive style of painting where shapes and colours bounce and react to each other. In this type of painting I start with a colour I like and begin with that. The first shape and the first colour inspires the next shape and colour. Then the next shape and the next colour inspires the next, and so on and so on till the canvas is filled. My process in mostly instinctive and I’m just guided by what looks and feels right to me.

Celeste is an original artwork created with Acrylic Paint on Cotton Canvas, which is stretched over an internal wood frame. It has been finished with a satin varnish with UV Protection and strung with plastic covered picture wire so it is ready to be hung. Art work will also be signed on the front with ‘Ellen’ and on the back with Ellen McKenna.
