I have been struggling of late with the fear that can overpower my art sometimes. This fear can influence and hinder the process by constantly worrying about whether people will like the finished painting.
For the artist, I think of this fear as poison as it takes away the painting’s honesty, its creativity etc etc.

With this piece I tricked my silly mind and constantly told myself that ‘no one will see it’. This allowed me to feel braver and more open to creative expression as I wasn’t obsessed over the outcome as such.

I really enjoyed making this one. Looking at it I can see I have broken through to somewhere new.
