“Chasing Quiet” – By Sharon Rynehart

The coast is the place I run to. Even more so when I’m chasing quiet. The rhythmic waves of the ocean serve to drown out the overwhelming noise of the busy day to day. Looking at the ocean brings calm and stability…it soothes my soul and steadies my heart. When I can’t be there, I paint it. This painting was one of those times. Amongst the chaos of a crazy week when I felt I was drowning in darkness I climbed out of bed at 10.30 pm to pick up the palette knife and and create my own ocean. I got lost in the process as this stunning beauty came to life, right there in the stillness of night, I was chasing quiet and found it, right here on my canvas.

This statement seascape was created with palette knives on artist quality gallery wrapped cotton canvas. It is framed in solid Tas Oak, satin varnished, and comes with a COA.
