Chasing Time. We all do it. There never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done that we expect of ourselves. The best laid plans often get disrupted and we fall behind our self imposed deadlines. Or perhaps chasing time is what you’re doing when you look at your beautiful kids morphing into young adults and you’re left wondering where the years have gone? Or holidays that go too fast. Or not enough time with a loved one. We’re all chasing time in some way.

This seascape is reminiscent of chasing time. At the coast, the place where I am most happy, the time always goes too quick. Wandering shorelines at dusk as the tides rise to form calmer inlets and quieter sheltered bays, I wish time to slow so I can linger longer…and stop chasing time.
