Carita’s highly original artwork is now attracting many collectors who are drawn to her unique use of edible colour palettes, intuitive mark making and signature illustrative twist. Her work is commissioned and collected by public, corporate and private collectors with a number of these collections including multiple works.

“This artwork is part of my ‘Organic Garden Collection’.  I’m constantly drawn to botanical shapes and I paint them quite obsessively through an abstract and very intuitive process. Like I’m fossicking in nature, looking for the beauty that lies within the oasis.  The shapes in this piece are recurring themes in my work. 

I love how we humans are so connected to nature that we want to bring it indoors into our homes Beautiful flowers and plants are part of our ancient tradition of gifts and offerings to convey messages and emotions without the need for words. Roses are particularly significant for me as they are representative of a special relationship I had with my maternal grandmother who was the person who enabled me to be an artist and set me on my life long journey of being one.”
