Happy is the latest addition to the Monarto troop, I captured this image during a “keeper for the morning” experience.

He was keen to monitor our activity as we prepared food enrichments for the troop.

Happy was born to Hannah on 21 December 2022.

Happy was the first boy born to the troop in 7 years, he was named by Dr. Jane Goodall to link him to the wellbeing and happiness of Chimpanzees everywhere.

Happy has been doted on by the whole troop, especially by his mum Hannah and his sister Hope.
