Look, not everybody likes cake…but everyobody likes ice cream… and EVERYBODY likes sparklers! So why not combine the best parts of dessert and celebrate in this match made in heaven? This was the cake ordered by my partner for her birthday, complete with my home-made chocolate ice cream. I love the way the light bounces off the bowl and changes the colour tones of everything around it. That brightness of the sparklers is hard to capture in an oil painting, but I can feel the mood in the room again as I look at the way the surrounding dimness is brought to life. This piece is for bringing a little playful attitude and sparkly happiness to any room.
