Colour Field 22 by Prue Crome –  is a large abstract oil painting with many layers of lemon, yellow and whites. This subtle work changes colour quite markedly under day and artificial lights, hovering over the wall that it is positioned on. The almost imperceptible tracing of a partial square draws attention to a rectangular form, even a very subtle one.

The aim for this work is to create a floating space to generate an expansive and peaceful experience yet drawing attention to the power of a straight line.
