Their graceful effortless sweeps, scoops and dives stimulated Pamela to imagine how wonderful it would be if we could all freelance in the sky in the same way.

Pamela first glazed the sea in many shades of blue to attain the richness and depth of colour juxtaposed with the earth tones of the shoreline. Positioning the gulls, then, to depict their pattern of flight took special consideration to indicate both their natural grace and give the sense of height and space between the gulls and the sea below.

Pamela has used quality acrylic paint on stretched canvas, unframed, varnished and ready to hang.
