Common Ground by Bianca Gardiner-Dodd

Acrylic on canvas

Original artworks by Bianca Gardiner-Dodd

Culturally  shared spaces were places to come together to trade, to share and to find common ground.  Whilst trading and sharing the natural resources, stories, song and dance, the people would also be energised and supported by the surrounding landscapes.  In turn, the land and the living environment would be invigerated and revitalised! it was a place to find peace and unity!

The centre piece of this painting is the meeting place,  with water representing the energy force flowing through providing sustenance to continue moving forward together in harmony.

The  knowledge shared and ideas generated in this space is filtered back in to the larger community.

Today, globally, more than ever, we need to find that space and come together to find common ground.
