This wetland in the Cooks River catchment has become a minor obsession. I love the colours in the foliage and the rafts that seem to float in the water, picked up by the setting sun in summer that casts dark shadows on the water and illuminates the shoreline plants. Many of us were spending an unusual amount of time indoors due to covid – and the weather. This painting wa my antidote.
Painted on the sides so will not require framing.
Finished with 3 coats of varnish for surface protection
