‘Crystal Blue’ by Cheryl Harrison is a complex textured abstract painting on linen, in soft and dramatic blue and green with a subtle touch of warmer undertones. Upon reflection I can defiantly see a bit of Brett Whiteley creeping in as an influence for sure. It would make a wonderful addition to any space that needs that relaxing and calming piece of artwork.

My work in general is inspired by and is a combination of music that moves my heart, popular culture and life’s everyday events – a word, a triggered memory or the elements in an undiscovered street that catch my eye, to a wave crashing on a morning walk. I call these my lifescapes.

It is painted on a linen surface and comes, varnished, framed and wired ready to hang on your wall. You can see in the detailed images, in particular the first close up image, the multiple layers of paint which in places form a cracking and distressed effect, adding texture and intrigue to the piece – a trademark of my more impasto works.
