Original artwork. This past summer, a pair of Currawongs and Swainson’s Lorikeets raised their chicks in our garden. The day the fledglings first met in the treetops was both touching and unexpectedly funny—a fleeting moment of curiosity, surprise, and innocence among the branches.
To capture this memory, I used a mix of watercolour, watercolour pencils, acrylics, and ink on a wooden artist’s board. The piece is framed in a slim black floating frame and is ready to hang.
