Additional Information

‘Dappled Ligh’t by Rosemary Legat – Acrylic paint, spray paint, acrylic and printing ink on 300gsm mixed media paper (requires framing).

‘Dappled Light’ and ‘Dappled Pink’ (listed separately) were created using the same base colours. I worked on them simultaneously while creating their intuitive bases.  However, I used more grey and a sepia coloured ink in ‘Dappled Light’ which has created a moodier look and feel than ‘Dappled Pink’.  The use of applying auzo gold coloured glaze in some areas, as the final layer, on ‘Dappled Light’ has a softening and brightening effect.

During the exercise of painting trees onto my layered bases, I chose two different windswept treescape photos to work from. The painting process was not to be a slave to the chosen photos, rather create a painting which reflected the essence of the trees.

All stencils and stamps used were designed and created by me.

‘Dappled Light’ requires framing therefore the gallery photos include photos of how this painting could look framed and hung.

My work is organic therefore the dimensions of this painting include a rough .05 border which can be covered during your chosen framing process or be embraced and remain on view one framed.

Signed on the front.
