Selling my yacht after having a boat to enjoy Sydney Harbour for the last 20 odd years brings regrets that the serenity of waking up in Farm Cove is now a thing of the past. To be surrounded by the Botanic gardens and having the Opera house greeting you as you come up on deck is magic. The large crowds that greeted the new year and enjoyed the fireworks should now have reached home, and in deep slumber. I’ve been responsible for all the people on board and have only had dozes while checking on the boat during the night. Now the sun has started peeping over the trees, and the sky is painted with the glow and colours of dawn. All this in Australia’s largest city, and I have it to myself. Unframed, sides black, wire across the back, ready to hang.
