Daybreak is inspired by hope for the future and embracing new opportunities and challenges. Created in Charlotte’s distinctive hard-edge style, this colourful painting draws on physical elements of a beach landscape (the sea, cliffs, horizon etc) to form an uplifting abstract composition. This work expresses Charlotte’s ongoing fascination with layering and juxtaposing vivid colour to play with opposing ideas of transparency and solidity, simplicity and complexity.

Daybreak is framed in a natural oak floating frame and is hand-signed on the front and back.

This painting is part of Art Lovers Australia’s Colour Spectrum exhibition in the ALA gallery in Melbourne and will be on display from April 29 – June 3. It will be available for shipping from 5 June 2023.
