Death note but Life is a Melody’ by Sarah Walker – This is the third piece in my “Still Life Still Death” series.

Exploring notes: the notes of a beautiful piano melody versus the traumatic words in a suicide note. The idea that life in itself is a melody- death may leave a note, but it’s only a note and life has the final say as the entire symphony. To further the notion of life, I used thread work to symbolise the great tapestry of life we all weave into. The skull (death) is dwarfed by the oversized abundance of Life (the pear).
