Additional Information

Desert Bloom by Maggi McDonald  – Inspired by autumn sunsets over dusty desert plains…literally all the pinks under the sun…soft and fiery at the same time. I imagine what these colours would look like when you look at them from space…

A new experimental series of abstract beachscapes and landscapes using thick layers of acrylic to create texture and movement.

I’ve given myself the freedom to play and experiment in the studio and this has been an intensely satisfying excercise and a fresh new direction for my art. The interesting thing is that I am using the same tools, paint and colours with the results being so different yet still very familiar to my original style.

This artwork was inspired by my love affair with the ocean and it’s ever changing colour palette of blues with the pink of a sunset at the end of a beautiful day…

Artwork is framed in a raw Tasmanian Oak frame and comes with a wire across the back ready to hang on the wall.

Created in my Sydney studio X

Artist is currently on holiday & this artwork is unavailable.
