Desert Heart Landscape by Doodie Herman

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

I created the basic forms in this composition with sand gathered from around Mparntwe (Alice Springs), The surface is textured and lines are blurred by the sand creating a softness to the image while layers of colour create a luminous quality. The painting is inspired by a photo from the air by Michael Schweiger.
Painted neatly on the sides so will not require framing.
Finished with two coats of varnish for protection.
I do my best to photograph my artwork accurately, but due to differences in monitors and devices, colour and contrast may vary slightly.
