Desert Sky by Carol Forster

This sculptural vase is part of a series based around the outback landscapes we enjoy in Australia.  For me, the contrasts of light, colour and texture evoke a feeling of our Australian Landscapes.

Techniques used include wheelthrowing with a combination of fine porcelain and textured coloured clays.  It is more a sculptural form than a vase, as due to the unglazed surface it is not suitable as a water container.

Desert Sky is an original, ceramic sculptural vase.
