Custom electronics capture gestures that control the primary colour proportions, which are then photographed combined with various optical elements. The reflections and refractions also give rise to new colours through light synthesis, like mixing coloured paints. The original photo behind this work used an ornamental Water Lily lead crystal piece as optical element. The blue primary is dominant over the red and green, but notice how the colours combine to also make orange, purple, yellow, and other colours. This digitally composed image additionally includes a fascinating infinite zoom effect that further combines the colours and creates a 3D tunnel look.
