Additional Information

Dream of Summer by Amanda Cameron – One of my ‘Summer Series’ of paintings and is an investigation into the interaction and connection between perspective, realism and colour. Amanda’s work is focused on the quest for finding refuge, quietness and escapism. Some [paintings] focus on the lone swimmer, the few minutes of introspection when submerged in the warm quiet of water, and others investigate the interaction of people within various aspects of the landscape. I haven’t settled on any particular style, and constantly struggle with the juxtaposition between hyper-realism and having a painterly quality to my art and this conflict in my paintings is what I am always trying to balance. This piece is painted in professional quality oil paints on a museum quality canvas, and finished with edges painted and  a gloss varnish for protection. It comes ready to hang and includes a certificate of authenticity.
