Drift by Donna Louise Fletcher – This original mixed media piece reflects a relaxed or mellow mood bringing a sense of calm to any space.

This piece is semi-sculptural, it was created by soaking a sheet of cotton in a stiffening agent and shaping it into an organic form and then attaching it to the stretched canvas. When I create a piece the process is what drives me forward, as an emotional response to the theme is laid bare on the canvas. Pieces in this style are layed flat on the studio floor and worked on from above as I walk around the canvas, loaded brush in hand creating random marks over many layers until the work is resolved. This piece is part of a series whereby the unpredictable nature human emotions is explored
