She co-wrote the song with its producer Dan Nigro. Containing poignant lyrics it is a quietly devastating, downtempo pop song that pairs storytelling with sweeping sound to convey its drama. “Drivers License” has the style of an atmospheric power ballad blending bedroom pop, indie pop, and power pop. The piano leads you through the song in a minimalist way with kick drums, harmonies, syncopated hand-claps, and a dreamy bridge which simply melted me.

It brings me joy and constant entertainment as I see a mix of colours, patterns, and movement in my visual field. I often wear headphones to allow my brain to rest from so much auditory and visual stimulation. My synaesthesia is a mix of divine green hues with moments of purple and fine detail. Swirling and pulsing gently with the music.
