Earthbound Rainbow by Lamice Ali – As an introvert by nature, I naturally seek out solitude and empty places, which is why none of my landscape paintings contain any people. This painting was inspired by the play of light on transparent paint, and the impact of layering using a glazing medium. Unlike most of my landscape work, I gave my attention to the foreground and allowed the sky to recede. It was difficult to control the results to be honest, and it took a lot of time and layers to get to this stage, but this is my first piece in this style and I’m happy with the results.

This painting would look best in a white frame with white matting.
