Echoes of Horizon by Sam Brett – I’ve always been drawn to the way Impressionist painters dissolved the world into color and atmosphere, and that sensitivity to light deeply influences me here. Turner’s ability to suggest both storm and serenity in a single canvas resonates, as does the meditative vastness of Rothko’s color fields. Nature is my constant reference point — the horizon line, the stillness of twilight, the way sky and earth blur when you’re watching long enough. This painting grew from that inspiration, but ultimately, it’s about translating how those moments of stillness feel to me internally.
