Such a beautiful soft painting that almost hypnotises you with its soft colour palette.

With an almost cloud like affect this is a very dreamy painting full of white, taupe, pinks and a hint of blue. It reflects perfectly how I can get when painting.

With the radio always on in the background I often get lost in my own dreamy world mesmorised by the paints as they meld together always creating a unique pattern of colour tone. My hands often move with the flow of music and the most interesting strokes always come from a song that stirs an energy inside me.

For this piece I have used the song as the title. This particular song definately stirred some memories of watching the movie as a kid. Thinking how cool it was that two computer nerds as they were known in the 80s created a real life woman from an image they created on their computer.
Although the movie doesnt really link to the painting the song from it does as the beat created the strokes.

But just the word dreams was enough to make me sleepy and given this week I haven’t been sleeping well and sub consciously needed it, that dreamy state translated to my canvas. This piece has given me an avenue to help drift off as I take on the calm energy of the painting reestablishing balance.
