“Equals” is an original mixed media artwork by Melbourne abstract artist G Kustom Kuhl who uses vintage paper products to created an abstract composition. These materials include vintage
advertising materials, vintage papers, music scores, stencils, inks, pencils, paint and hand made forms used for printing.
“Equals” is an exploration of balance within life. Balance referring to inner and outer worlds, emotional and thinking states, left and right, conscious and sub-conscious, right and wrong. When a state of peace or happiness is reached and nothing else seams to matter. Such moments are often hard to achieve for a long period but must be enjoyed when reached. This work has been created on artist Saunders Waterford 320gsm paper that has been adhered to board and then re-worked to finish. The final finish has been achieved with a ultra thick clear coat of polyurethane paint. Painted black sides [for hanging without frame] and wire across the back.
