I’m fascinated by the expressive qualities of paint and how it responds to smooth manipulation as opposed to vigorous interventions. Many trials spent investigating how I would physically approach the canvas. Finally chose to work on the canvas from all four sides to produce the desired effects. Decided to work with two sets of complimentary colours to achieve a loud visual language, which helped to express a type of collision of currents.

FRAME:
Bespoke custom framing in Tasmanian Oak, finished in Scandinavian oil, enhancing uniqueness of grain and ensuring lasting protection. Crafted with precision by experienced artisan.

RECESSED FLOATING FRAME:
A design where the canvas extends beyond the frame, creating an immersive effect that draws the artwork into the viewer’s space.

Artwork is varnished, providing protection against environmental factors whilst enhancing the pigments in colours.
